My debut novel
A Complex Journey
Brain Computer Interfaces, virtual reality, science and espionage come together in a story about a trio of scientists who work together to prevent a global climate disaster that appears to be caused by extra-terrestrial intruders. Their invention, called “BrainMaze”, can communicate with AI systems, which piques the interest of the Earth’s Global Council. The Global Council has developed an AI system that has successfully dealt with socio-economic instability but is failing with climate.
In the first of two books, the trio uses BrainMaze to discover that cybernetic Aliens have hacked the Council’s AI system. Their investigation of the Aliens leads them to Southeast Asia, where their first encounter has a catastrophic outcome.
In the second book, the trio continues their investigation of the cybernetic Aliens, who have an elaborate multiscale existence that challenges the perception of space and time. The trio works with a Special Ops team, using BrainMaze in a digital battlefield to confront the Aliens and prevent an imminent climate disaster.
