SHORT BIO

I am interested in how the brain behaves at multiple spatial and temporal scales with a particular focus on between-network activity during music listening and improvisation and how these activity patterns change with age and neurodegeneration. I completed my PhD in 2023 on dynamic network connectivity of music listening in healthy younger and older adult populations, and hold a master's in music psychology from the University of Jyväskylä and an honour's bachelor of music therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University.

My past clinical work continues to inform my research practice and my in my postdoctoral work, I use novel analysis paradigms to understand how the brain adapts to aging and neurodegeneration, and to quantify music therapy's efficacy in long-term care.

When I'm not doing science, I enjoy performing with my bandmates in The Lethbridge Privateers, needlework, and overly-ambitious cooking projects.
